I am currently working on a book about the ceramic artist and educator, Victor Babu. Victor taught at the Kansas City Art Institute for over 30 years and is a mentor to an immeasurable number of ceramic artists in the field today. Due to his dedication to teaching and his students, his exceptional ceramic work rarely traveled far beyond Kansas City. This perhaps somewhat limited his exposure in the field as well as his critical acclaim. My hope is that by documenting his work and his life in an artistic monograph, a new generation of ceramic artists will learn about his amazing acheivements.
