In contrast to the wood fired works, between 2009 and 2012 I also explored color and glaze movement, pariculary as glazes become fluid at their peak temperature in the kiln. I looked a lot at maps and topography, textures, as well as the movement of water. I incorporated those elements with both the idea of function, as well as leaving it behind.
